Love Acadiana Gobble Box is an internal coordination tool built for Love Acadiana to organize its annual Thanksgiving meal delivery program. Every year, community members nominate families in need through a simple sign-up form, and volunteer drivers offer to deliver boxes of Thanksgiving groceries to those families. Behind the scenes, someone has to match every nominated family with a driver who can reach them, make sure no family is nominated twice, confirm addresses are accurate, and keep everything organized across multiple campus locations. Love Acadiana Gobble Box automates that work.
The app pulls nomination and driver sign-up data directly from shared spreadsheets, automatically flags possible duplicate family submissions, geocodes addresses for accurate routing, and runs a matching engine that pairs families with nearby drivers by campus or by driver location. Staff can review every match on an interactive map, lock in confirmed assignments, reassign families when a driver drops out, and export delivery routes for each driver as a printable list.
This tool is used by Love Acadiana staff and campus coordinators who run the Thanksgiving program each year, and it was built specifically to support that effort — helping more families get a Thanksgiving meal with less manual spreadsheet work and fewer missed deliveries.
